Ingredients (4 Servings):
4 salmon steaks
3 tbsp. soy sauce
3 tbsp. sake
3 tbsp. mirin
1,5 tbsp. powdered sugar
pepper
Preparation:
Mix the soy sauce, the mirin and 1 tbsp. of sugar in a saucepan, bring to a boil.
Remove from heat, stir and let cool down.
Place the salmon steaks in a baking pan, flesh side up.
When sauce is cold, pour it over the salmon steaks.
Marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Remove the sauce from the dish and place it in a saucepan.
Bake the fish in the oven on grill position or at 250 °C for about 15 minutes, turning the steaks halfway through cooking.
Meanwhile, heat the sauce in the pan over medium heat.
Add the remaining sugar and let reduce while mixing well.
Arrange the salmon steaks on the plate.
Top them with sauce.
