Bûche de Noël

Ingredients:

4 eggs
140 g of sugar
100 g of flour
10 g baking powder
250 g of chocolate
200 g butter

Preparation:

Beat the 4 egg yolks with the caster sugar and 3 tablespoons of warm water.

Add gradually the flour and the baking powder.

In large glass bowl, using clean beaters, whip egg whites to soft peaks.

Immediately fold the yolk mixture into the whites. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.

Place it in the oven for ten minutes at 190 °.

Run a knife around the edge of the pan and turn the warm cake out onto a wet towel. Remove and discard parchment paper. Roll the cake up with the towel. Cool for 30 minutes.

Break the chocolate and melt in a bain-marie. Add the softened butter. Let the mixture cool a little bit.

Unroll the cake and spread ½ of the filling to within 1 inch of the edge. Roll the cake up with the filling inside. Place seam side down onto a serving plate and cover with the rest of the filling.

Make some design on it with a fork and decorate it with Christmas items.
