White cabbage gratin

Ingredients (4 servings):

1 kg new potatoes
1 white cabbage
300 g ground beef
300 g minced veal
50 g smoked bacon
1/2 tsp veal stock
2 shallots, chopped
50 g grated cheese
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
50 ml dry white wine
150 ml of water

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.

Cut the cabbage into strips and plunge it in salted boiling water for 15 minutes, then drain.

Cut the bacon into small pieces, mix it with the cabbage and fry in a nonstick skillet.

Let simmer for 10 minutes.

Peel and cut the potatoes into slices. Cook them 20 minutes in boiling salted water.

Add the shallots and olive oil in the pan. Simmer over medium heat 2 min.

Add the beef and the veal, parsley, wine, water and the veal stock. Season with salt and pepper.

Stir and cook over low heat for 15 min.

Place the cabbage and meat in a greased oven dish.

Cover with a layer of potatoes, then the grated cheese. Bake for 15 min.
