Ingredients:
2 puff pastry
1 ceramic figure
1 or 2 Paper crowns
1 egg yolk
Filling:
100g sugar
90g flour
30g butter
60g grounded almonds
3 dl milk
3 eggs
some drops bitter almond flavor
Preparation:
Mix the sugar, 2 eggs, 1 egg yolk, flour and butter in pan. Add the hot milk and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
Add the grounded almonds add.
Place the first pastry on a baking pan and add the filling in the center of the dough.
Put the ceramic figurine into the filling (preferably on the edge).
Moister the edge of the dough which is not covered by the filling with water and cover with the other pastry.
Press the edge with your fingers. Make some pattern on the dough with a knife.
Mix one egg yolk with a little water and brush the cake with it.
Bake in preheated oven (180 ° C) for 20 minutes.
The cake must be eaten still warm.
The cake has to be cut carefully, not to break the figures inside.
Celebration:
The youngest goes under the table. The one who distributes the pieces of cake, takes a piece and asks “for whom”. The person under the table names who is to receive the piece.
