Hummus

Ingredients:

1 can of chickpeas
2 tablespoons of tahini (sesame paste)
about 3-4 cloves of garlic (crushed)
The juice of a large lemon
1tsp salt
a glug of olive oil
the water from the chick pea can


Preparation:

Drain the chickpeas, but save the liquid from the can.

Put everything in a food processor or blender and blitz till you have a smooth puree (Thermomix: 30 sec/speed 8).

Add the chick pea water a little at a time till you get the consistency you like!

Taste, then add a little more of whatever you think it needs to be just right!

Sprinkle a little cayenne pepper or paprika on top , once it’s in the dish.

Serve with pita bread, or vegetable sticks!
