Ingredients (3 servings):
1 cup yogurt (250 g)
1 small to medium sized red onion, finely chopped
1 small to medium sized tomato, finely chopped
1 green chili finely chopped
2 to 3 tsp chopped mint leaves or coriander leaves or a mix of both
⅛ tsp of red chili powder
1 tsp roasted cumin powder
salt as required
few mint leaves or coriander leaves for garnishing (optional)
Preparation:
Rinse the onion, tomatoes, mint leaves and green chili.
Finely chop them.
Whisk the curd.
Add the finely chopped onion, tomato, mint leaves and green chili in the curd.
Add cumin powder, red chili powder and salt. Mix very well.
Serve the onion tomato raita.
If you want you can also garnish the onion tomato raita with mint or coriander leaves and serve with rice.
